Following recent successes with live music nights and subsequent requests, El Romeral is now offering FREE full-board accommodation to gigging musicians in return for playing a "gig a day" in the restaurant or poolside. Simon Early, the new owner of this beautiful "hostal rural" is an ex-pro musician himself, as is his wife Jo Castle "We've always wanted to have live music on a regular basis here in the restaurant or indeed outside when we're in holiday season from March to October, but finding local bands is proving to be a problem, so we thought 'why not supply all the kit and give our musician friends a free holiday in the sun in return for a gig here and there?' It's proved very successful thus far- and so it should, we're renown for our classic Spanish Tapas, Paellas and meats on the coal barbecue, plus we've got the huge pool, mountain views, 20 minutes from the best beaches on the Med and an open bar for the musos. What with low-cost flights being so readily available, it gives the gigging musician a cheap holiday and we get live music in return - they don't even have to bring anything - everythings already here, from Yamaha P250 piano, drum kit, ,guitar amps, full lighting rig and JBL TR225 PA, foldback, desk, the lot. We thought 'play for a couple of hours, then join us in the bar or by the pool for the rest of the day and be treated like a King!' cant be bad!" Full PA and instrumenst are already set up on stage and there are 8 rooms around the pool available free. "All we ask is the band send us a CD or website so we can agree a date and that's it - they get the flights, we take care of everything else- even airport run."
